Chakras & Human Development.

About the Conference:

The Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC), will host more than 350 professionals from the early childhood education profession in Killington, Vermont, for the 2024 Early Childhood Education Annual Conference.

This year’s conference will focus on embedding wellness for children and their caregivers in our practices. We are all born creative, curious, and hungry to explore the world around us. The question is how to keep those qualities alive and flourishing as an adult so we can show up for children and families in both play and leadership.

Chakras & Child Development: What Parents & Teachers Need to Know

So many teachers and parents I work with experience pressing concerns for young people and stress in meeting their needs. Join me to learn how supporting good function in the chakra system can help you and the children you serve.

In this workshop, you will explore Ellen Tadd’s Framework for Wise Education — based on her discoveries about the chakra system and its fundamental role in potential.

We will learn and practice a powerful tool from Ellen Tadd’s pioneering Framework for Wise Education — “The Tadd Technique.” This technique helps adults and children mitigate anxiety, confusion, and make wise, productive decisions.

I look forward to seeing you soon!

”If I could wave a magic wand, I would put this Framework in the hands of every teacher and parent around the globe. It’s that important.”
Liz Wiley, Director of the Marion Institute

Location: Online via Zoom
Cost: $15

Fostering Self-Esteem in Children and Young Teens

Presented by: The Marion Institute & Creative Lives

As children move through their many years of schooling, it is not uncommon for them to develop feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem. And as educators and people who work with children, we know all too well that negative self-worth can be a devastating catalyst for dysregulation manifesting in the form of erratic, unpredictable, or uncharacteristic behavior.

Please join Maureen Burford of Creative Lives for a foundational workshop on Ellen Tadd’s Framework for Wise Education®.

During this workshop, Maureen will distill the key factors that can undermine self-esteem and suggest ways to mitigate their negative impact on kids.

Join us to discover how practical knowledge about the chakra system can be applied to support long-term, positive results for children and young teens. By the end of this workshop, you will be equipped with useful, practical tools that you can implement immediately in your classrooms and after-school programs.

May Framework Salon You are Talking, but are They Listening?

With all the technology today, we seem to be in constant communication. But the exchange of words does not mean what you say is being received, understood, or heard.

This month we will discuss how we communicate with children and how to help them understand what we want to get across.

  • What do you do when they seem to be ignoring you?

  • How do you respond when they fail to follow instructions you have given them?

Conversely, you, too, have a role in listening to the children in your life.

  • How effectively are you listening to them?

  • Do you understand what they are trying to convey?

  • How do you respond to their frustration of not feeling understood?

All Salons are held over Zoom. For more information and to register, go to Framework Salons

Completed Founations-1 is required to attend.
